Colorado's Colorful Lightning Climatology: This shocking presentation will explore cloud-to-ground lightning across the State of Colorado. What does a lightning strike map of Colorado look like? Where are the lightning hot-spots – and why does lightning favor these places? Which mountain ranges (and Fourteeners) are struck the most? When is lightning most likely to strike? Which National and State Parks are most at-risk? What is the worst day to plan an outdoor BBQ? What are your odds of getting struck? What can I do to minimize getting struck?
